A benefits eligible employee is a full-time regular employee scheduled to work 35 hours per week or more, or a part-time regular employee scheduled to work 20 hours per week or more, in an eligible position.

You must enroll in health and welfare benefits within 31 days of your date of hire or your date of benefits eligibility.
If you elect coverage for your spouse, civil union partner, same-gender domestic partner (registered with the University) or other eligible dependents under one of the medical, dental or vision plans offered by the University of Chicago; you must scan and upload documentation at the end of the benefit election process in Workday.
