Graham School of Continuing Liberal and Professional Studies

University of Chicago full-time, benefits eligible staff employees are eligible to take certain Graham School work-related courses with tuition covered 100% by the Graham School and University Benefits as part of the tuition benefits program.

This benefit specifies that University staff members can enroll in up to two Graham School courses per quarter deemed job-related according to this list: Eligible Job Related Courses.  For more information on these classes and the professional programs, please visit the Graham School webpage.  This benefit is not available to academic/faculty employees or hospital employees.  Hospital employees should contact their Human Resources Partner to determine eligibility for tuition benefits.

Employees who want to complete a certificate program must apply to the program here.  Questions about the program application process should be directed to

Simultaneous to applying to the program, a course registration form is necessary to apply for the tuition benefit. The registration form must be submitted at least 30 days before the start of the course to allow for processing.  Here is the process for obtaining this benefit: 

  • Complete the Job Related Course Registration form.
    • For each additional class, please complete page 2 only.
  • Obtain the appropriate signatures (i.e. manager or supervisor).
  • Include the appropriate 10 Digit account number to be charged for the non-refundable $150 administrative fee.
  • Email or mail the form to or 6054 S. Drexel Ave., 1st Floor.

Once HR-Training has received and processed the form, it will be forwarded to the Graham School for registration. The Graham School will determine if space is available in the course and is responsible for the registration process.  Please note that the Graham School is unable to guarantee admittance into applicant's first choice course.  The Graham School will work with applicants to determine course availability.  For more information, please contact the Graham School at
